Symposium on Strategy for Fisheries Resources Enhancement in the Southeast Asian Region organized by SEAFDECFriday, 07 August 2015The Symposium on Strategy for Fisheries Resources Enhancement in the Southeast Asian Region organized by SEAFDEC Training Department (TD) with the cooperation of the Aquaculture Department (AQD) and Secretariat in Pattaya, Thailand on 27-30 July 2015. Attended by more than 80 participants representing the SEAFDEC Member Countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam), the SEAFDEC Secretariat, TD, AQD, Marine Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (MFRDMD), and Inland Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (IFRDMD), the Symposium served as a forum to exchange the lessons learned and experiences gained from relevant resources enhancement initiatives of the SEAFDEC Member Countries. The Symposium, which also facilitated the sharing of scientific knowledge on fisheries resources enhancement imparted by renowned resource persons from Japan and the Southeast Asian countries, was supported by the Japanese Trust Fund.
